Oaksend is a modern cross-border payment app built to make international transactions fast, seamless, and secure. The goal was to simplify how users send and receive money across borders while addressing one critical challenge: trust. As the UI/UX Designer, I focused on transforming complex financial processes into clear, confident user experiences.

Problem
Cross-border payments are inherently complex — but the real issue isn’t complexity.
It’s uncertainty.
Users often face:
Hidden fees that appear late in the process
Confusing or unclear exchange rates
Delays with little to no visibility
Anxiety about whether transactions will go through successfully
This creates a lack of trust, where users hesitate or abandon transactions entirely.
In fintech, poor UX doesn’t just frustrate users —
it makes them question the safety of their money.
Solution
I approached the design with a single principle:
👉 Every interaction should reduce uncertainty.
Key Design Decisions
1. Transparent Transaction Flow
Clearly displayed fees, exchange rates, and final amounts before confirmation
Ensured users always knew:
What they are sending
What the recipient will receive
2. Simplified Core Actions
Prioritized the main user actions: Send, Receive, Track
Reduced unnecessary steps to enable fast, frictionless transactions
3. Real-Time Feedback & Status Tracking
Designed clear progress indicators for transactions
Provided users with visibility into each stage of the transfer
4. Clean Visual Hierarchy
Reduced cognitive load with structured layouts and focused screens
Highlighted key information while minimizing distractions
5. Localized & Familiar Patterns
Used design patterns users already understand to increase confidence
Ensured the experience felt intuitive across different regions
